Danish Soprano Philippa Cold graduated from The Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in 2012. Previously, she has studied at Stockholm Opera Studio and at The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.

Since 2011, she has been a lyric soprano and won great acclaim for her portrayal of Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni. Currently, she is exploring her new repertoire with Danish Wagnerian Soprano Eva Johansson.

Philippa Cold has already performed several different roles like The Composer in Ariadne auf Naxos by Richard Strauss, Idamante in Mozart’s Idomeneo and Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni and also, role of Carmen in Georges

Bizet’s Carmen. In the spring of 2015, she sang Mabel in Pirates of Penzance by Gilbert and Sullivan with Operettekompagniet Polyhymnia at the Court Theatre in Copenhagen. In the following summer, Philippa has performed on Copenhagen
Opera Festival with the role of Charlotte in A Fairytale in Rosenborg Gardens by Danish composer Weyse.

Last year Philippa performed at Funen Song Society in Odense with German songs and at the song society Societas pro Musica with a Russian program. She will once again star with Operettekompagniet Polyhymnia in the role of Hélène in Offenbach’s La belle Hélène.
