Isa Katharina Gericke

Soprano

Norwegian-german soprano Isa Gericke studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo and at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin. Isa is known for her versatility in concert, chamber music and opera.

Her repertoire ranges from baroque to contemporary. With a particular fondness for Lieder she has become known for her concert performances honouring singers like Eva Sars Nansen and Kirsten Flagstad.

As a soloist Isa has cooperated with conductors such as Sir Andrew Davis, Manfred Honeck, Philippe Herreweghe and Franz Brüggen, and with orchestras like the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, the AKAMUS - Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

She is a frequent guest at many of the chamber music festivals in Europe. Since 2001 Isa has been the artistic director of the annual chamber music festival Glogerfestspillene in Kongsberg, Norway.
