American tenor Joshua is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he received his Bachelor of Music and Master of Opera studying with Fred Carama. In 2012, as member of the Bayerische Staatsop- er’s opera studio, Stewart made his debut as the Priester in the world premiere of Babylon by Jörg Widmann.

In the 2015-16 season, Stewart made his Ham- burg State Opera debut in Puccini’s La Fanciulla del West. He returned to Festival d’Aix- en- Provence in Peter Sellars’s production of Oedipus Rex conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen, as well as making his London debut.

Stewart will make debuts in Stockholm at the Baltic Sea Festival, Los Angeles with the LAPhil- harmonic with Gustavo Dudamel, and return to Spain for several jazz concerts with the Bourbon Street Stompers brass band.

He has performed at several different festivals such as Festival d’Aix, Rossini Opera Festival, Marlboro Music Festival, Boyne Music Festival, New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, and Saint Bart’s Music Festival.
