Kateryna Tereshchenko was born in Ukraine and has been surrounded by musicians since her earliest childhood. In 2006, she graduated from the Lysenko Special Musical School in Kiev, where she studied under Prof. Boris Fedorov.

From 2007, Kateryna continued her studies in at the Zurich University of the Arts under Prof. Konstantin Scherbakov and Prof. Ulrich Koella. During this time, she won a prize at the Scholarship competition of Migros Kulturprozent in 2011 and 2012.

Straight after graduation of Master Specialized Music Performance in 2013, she enrolled in the Orchester Akademie program at the Opern- haus Zürich where she was active taking part in several shows during the last three years.

Among others with performance on Die Soldat- en by B.A. Zimmermann, Die Hamletmaschine by Wolfgang Rihm, Balanchine Ballett Thema mit vier Variationen for Piano and String Orchestra by Paul Hindemith. In 2015, she produced her first CD recording with piano works of Chopin, Brahms and Rachmaninov.

Kateryna has performed as a soloist, chamber musician and a collaborative pianist at concerts and festivals in Ukraine, Italy, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.
