Danish tenor Magnus Vigilius graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Music in 2001. He has appeared in opera-productions in Scandinavia, France and England.

Magnus was in 2007-2010 engaged as a soloist with The Funen Opera and performed in well- known operas such as Rodolfo in Puccini’s La Boheme, Don Jose in Bizet’s Carmen, Pinkerton in Puccini’s Madame Butterfly as well as in con- temporary Danish operas. In spring 2010 he re- ceived for his three-year tenure, The Funen Op- era ́s Lars Waage price. At the Danish National Opera Magnus had his debut this season as Steva Burya in Janáek’s magnificent opera Jenfa. As a concert soloist, Magnus has performed with The Royal Danish Orchestra, Odense Symphony Orchestra, Aalborg Symphony Orchestra and Aarhus Symphony Orchestra.

From 2013, he has been working intensively with the dramatic German opera-repertoire, thus developing his “jugendliche heldentenor-voice”, and in May 2014 Magnus won 2nd Prize and The Orchestra’s Prize in the prestigious Wagner competition “The Lauritz Melchior International Singing Competition”.
