Mette received her diploma in 1993 at The Academy of Music in Jutland, where she studied with professor John Damgaard. After working as an accompanist in Copenhagen and studying in Vienna with professor Rudolph Kehrer, she con- tinued her studies in 2001 at The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen specializing in repetition and accompaniment under professor Friedrich Gürtler and docent Tove Lønskov.

Mette had her debut in 2004, at that time working as a pianist at The Royal Danish Opera Academy and The Royal Opera in Copenhagen and an accompanist at The Royal Danish Academy of Music.

In 2009 she was assigned to The Copenhagen Royal Chapel Choir as a repetitor, with whom she has played concerts in China, Sri Lanka, India and The Unites States.

Along with that she has been very active as a lied accompanist with a broad repetoire of songs and has played concerts in Denmark,- France, Spain, Italy, Greece, USA and Germany. In 2015 she was the music director of the production of “La Gioconda” by Ponchielli with Operafabrikken in Malmö and participated in 2016 in Copenhagen Opera Festival in the production of Hänsel und Gretel by Humperdinck.
