Mine Yücel is a lyric Soprano with a distinctive timbre. She uses her warm and agile voice vividly in her diverse repertoire which ranges from Gilda and Nedda to Saffi and Sylva Varescu.

Recent Engagements include Sylva Varescu in Kalman’s the Gipsy Princess (Staatstheater Cottbus), Musetta in Puccini’s La Boheme at Opernfestspiele Munot and Selma in Vollmer’s Gegen die Wand (Theater Giessen).

While performing as Gilda (Rigoletto) she also appeared as Saffi (the Gipsy Baron) concurrently at Staatstheater Braunschweig. In the World Premiere of Alice in Wonderland she acted as Tarkmann’s Alice.

She appeared as Lady Billows in Britten’s Albert Herring at the Theater Aachen, a character role that displays her versatility not only in play but also in her voice. She worked under the direction of Lothar Koenigs and Katharina Thalbach in the production The rise and fall of the city of Mahagonny at the Opera Cologne. One of her highlights is the role as Fiordiligi. Die Welt dis- tinguished her as “a fascinating Soprano with an agile, animated Voice”

Besides her operatic performances Miss Yucel continues to perform countless concerts and recitals throughout Europe such as Germany, Austria, Italy, France and Poland. Amongst her concerts she especially gained attention as recitalist at the renowned “Norddeutsche Radio- philarmonie Musiktage”(North German Broadcasting).

She inspires as soloist for the New Year ́s Gala in the Tonhalle Zurich, and is just as enthusiastic as a Lied Singer with, for example, the Four Last Songs (Strauss), most recently at Theater Hagen and Wuppertaler Bühnen.

Miss Yucel began her voice studies at the Han- over University of Music and transferred her studies to Cologne University of Music where she passed her diploma and Master of Music with distinction.She continued her education and took masterclasses with respected names such as Mirella Freni, Edda Moser, Anna Tomo- wa – Sintow and Anja Harteros.
