As a child, Teit began singing in Roskilde Cathedrals Boys Choir, and had his first solos as a treble.

He later went on studying singing at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, and finished his education in London at the Royal Academy of Music Opera with distinctions in 2008. He has since then worked as a freelancer.

On the operatic stage Teit has also performed internationally in leading rôles as Mozart’s Figaro and Don Giovanni and bigger supporting roles in Cosi fan tutte, Rossini’s La Cenerentola, Puccini’s La Bohéme, Britten’s The rape of Lucretia and Verdi’s La Traviata.

During the time, he has worked with many dis- tinguished music professionals such as Sir Colin Davis, Steuart Bedford, Michael Schønwandt, Ingrid Surgenor and Denins O’Neill. Teit also does lied recitals, and is currently preparing a concert series of Schubert’s Winterreise.
